We know from  1 John 4:8 that God is love, so we can certainly believe that his character is filled with loving kindness, compassion and mercy. Here is a curated list of Bible verses about compassion and mercy, which exemplifies God’s love for human kind.

The Nicolaitans were a group mentioned in the book of Revelation in the New Testament, specifically in Revelation 2:6, 2:15. They were a heretical sect in the early Christian church that was condemned by Jesus in his messages to the churches of Ephesus and Pergamum.
