Big Idea: Jesus calls us to invest in eternity by living purehearted, faithful lives that glorify God.

1. The Principle of Treasure – Matthew 6:19-21

  • Earthly wealth fades, rusts, and rots.

  • Only what is done for Christ lasts.

  • Jesus taught righteousness with the right heart—alms, prayer, fasting, forgiveness.

  • Alliterated Point: Temporary Things vs. Timeless Treasure.

2. The Pattern of Moses – Hebrews 11:24-26

  • Moses chose eternal riches over temporary prestige.

  • He gave up power, pleasure, and possessions for heavenly reward.

  • What a waste to gain the world and lose your soul.

  • Alliterated Point: Pleasure, Power, Prestige vs. Promise.

3. The Plan of Salvation – Plan

  • You must plan to go to heaven first—salvation through Christ.

  • No other way but through Jesus, the door of the sheep.

  • God allows the choice, but the wise plan is to follow Him.

  • Alliterated Point: Plan, Prepare, Pursue.

4. The Priority of Christ – Prioritize

  • Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

  • Priorities reveal what you truly treasure.

  • When God is first, blessings and eternal reward follow.

  • Alliterated Point: Priorities, Perspective, Purpose.

5. The Promises of God – Promises

  • God’s promises guide and ground us.

  • Seek first the kingdom, and He will provide all your needs.

  • Living by promises produces faith and reward.

  • Alliterated Point: Promises, Provision, Prosperity.

6. The Purity of Heart – Purehearted

  • Pharisees sought praise from men, not God.

  • God rewards the sincere, not the showy.

  • Do all things to please Christ, not people.

  • Alliterated Point: Purity, Purpose, Praise.

Conclusion / Invitation:
Jesus declared, “Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” What do you treasure most—pleasure, possessions, people’s approval, or the kingdom of God? Invest in eternity with a pure heart and hear one day, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”
