Bible Text: Exodus 14:13  — “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.”
Theme: God fights for His people when they trust in Him and stand still in faith.
Big Idea: When faced with fear and adversity, God’s people must resist fear, stand firm in faith, and watch God bring deliverance in His power.

𝟭. 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁 — 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗼 (Exodus 14:13)
𝐚. Fear limits faith and feeds the devil’s power over your mind and circumstances.
𝐛. The old devil thrives on fear and doubt—he magnifies trouble when we start worrying.
𝐜. When you refuse to fear what the enemy can do, you put a limit on his power in your life.
𝐝. Faith drives out fear because it trusts in God’s character rather than the enemy’s threats.

𝟮. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 — 𝗕𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 (Exodus 14:13)
𝐚. Standing still isn’t doing nothing; it’s trusting that God is moving on your behalf.
𝐛. Be patient in your faith and stand firm in your faith in your God.
𝐜. Our God is all-powerful and can make something happen when there seems to be no hope.
𝐝. In moments when there’s no human way out, God makes a way through.

𝟯. 𝗦𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱 — 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 (Exodus 14:13)
𝐚. God will fight to save His people and fight whoever or whatever comes against us.
𝐛. He will fight the enemy if we will stand firm with Him and in Him.
𝐜. Our enemies are many, but our God is big—greater than any force arrayed against us.
𝐝. The devil prowls like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8).
𝐞. He would rather devour one of God’s little ones than 500 who are not—we are his prime target, but God is our mighty defender.

𝗜𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 / 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲
A father teaches his young child to cross a busy street in downtown Baxley. The child is afraid of the cars rushing by, but the father says, “Just stand still and hold my hand. I’ll tell you when it’s safe.” The child doesn’t understand the traffic patterns or timing, but trusts the father’s strength and wisdom. When we face life’s traffic of trouble—bills piling up, health failing, relationships breaking—God asks us the same: fear not, be still, hold My hand, and watch Me work.

𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀

  1. 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 — Fear Not

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 / 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
When fear surges and the enemy seems too strong, remember God’s threefold command to Israel at the Red Sea: fear not, stand still, and see. The same God who parted the waters and drowned Pharaoh’s army still fights for His people today. If you’ll stop fighting in your own strength and start trusting in His, you will see the mighty hand of God bring salvation. Tonight, whatever battle you’re facing—financial, physical, spiritual, relational—let Him fight it. You just stand still under His mighty hand and watch Him work. Will you trust Him? Will you stand firm? Will you let God be God in your situation?
