Chapter 1 β Vision of Christ

- Eyes as a flame of fire β judgment and omniscience.

The Seven Churches of Asia (Chs. 2β3)
Ephesus β The Loveless Church (2:1β7)
- Meaning: βDesirable.β
- Strengths: Labor, patience, discernment, withstood Nicolatans.
- Nicolaitans: Participate idolatry & and sexual immorality.
- Weakness/Rebuke: Left their first love, in need ofΒ repentance.
- Promise: Overcomers will eat from the Tree of Life.
Smyrna β The Persecuted Church (2:8β11)
- Meaning: βMyrrh.β
- Strengths: Faithful under persecution, spiritually rich, endured tribulation.
- Weakness/Rebuke: None rebuked.
- Promise: Overcomers will receive Crown of Life.
Pergamos β The Compromising Church (2:12β17)
- Meaning: βFortifiedβ or βMarried.β
- Strengths: Held fast the faith in Satanβs stronghold.
- Weakness/Rebuke: Tolerated false doctrine, sexualΒ immorlity – stumbling blocks (Balaam, Nicolaitans) – Fight against with Word God (Sword of my mouth).
- Promise: Overcomers receive hidden manna, white stone, new name, salvation.
Thyatira β The Corrupt Church (2:18β29)
- Meaning: βContinual Sacrifice.β
- Strengths: Love, service, faithful, Antipas martyred, and patience.
- Weakness/Rebuke:Β Allowed Jezebel spirit, who led into idolatry, immorality – Great sorrows for her followers, death of children.
- Promise: Overcomers – Rulers of nations; Morning Star (Jesus/Salvation).
Sardis β The Dead Church (3:1β6)
- Meaning: βRemnantβ or βEscaping.β
- Strengths: A few faithful remain (Remnant, the faithful few).
- Weakness/Rebuke: Called God’s church, but spiritually dead (See many of these today) .
- Promise: Overcomers (Remnant) Clothed in white, name in Book of Life.
Philadelphia β The Faithful Church (3:7β13)
- Meaning: βBrotherly Love (where city of Philadelphia got it’s name).β
- Strengths: Kept Godβs Word; endured with courage and strength.
- Weakness/Rebuke: None mentioned (But promised to set open door before them, blessings).
- Promise: Keep from temptation; pillar in Godβs temple (highest honor); receive Godβs name.
Laodicea β The Lukewarm Church (3:14β22)
- Meaning: βPeopleβs Rights.β
- Strengths: None.
- Weakness/Rebuke: Lukewarm, wealthy, self-serving, self-satisfied, spiritually blind – spewed out of mouth, in need of repentance, unable hear gospel message (Jesus stand at door knock).
- Promise: Sit with Christ on His throne (rule with Christ).
2. The Throne Room of Heaven

- Time: π° Future Event
Revelation 4 β Worship Around the Throne
- John sees a door open in Heaven β invited to βCome up here.β
- Throne: Set in Heaven, surrounded by a rainbow (symbol of mercy), sea of glass before throne.
- 24 Elders: Possibly represent 12 tribes Israel, 12 apostles of Christ (or possibly representing redeemed saints or priestly leaders), clothed in white, all wearing crowns (most certainly important elders/leaders).
- Four Living Creatures: (John calls them beasts – Cherubim) full of eyes β representing creation praising God. They each have distinct faces β lion, calf, man, and eagle β representing strength, service, intelligence, and swiftness.
- They each have six wings,Β and are covered with eyes, showing their complete awareness and watchfulness. They never cease to praise God, saying, βHoly, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty.β Β They worship the Lamb (Christ) and lead the heavenly chorus as He takes the scroll β showing their role in Godβs judgment and redemption plan.

Revelation 5 β The Lamb and the Scroll
- A sealed scroll (title deed to the earth) in Godβs hand.
- None worthy to open it β until the Lamb (Christ) appears.
- The Lamb has seven horns and seven eyes (perfect power and knowledge).
- The heavenly chorus sings: βWorthy is the Lamb that was slain!β

The Sealed Scroll (v. 1β4)
John sees God on the throne holding a scroll sealed with seven seals β representing Godβs complete plan of judgment and redemption. No one in heaven or earth is found worthy to open it, and John weeps. -
The Worthy Lamb (v. 5β7)
One of the elders tells John, βWeep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah… hath prevailed.β
John looks β and sees not a lion, but a Lamb as though it had been slain β Jesus Christ. He alone is worthy to take the scroll from Godβs hand because He redeemed humanity by His blood. -
Worship in Heaven (v. 8β14)
The four living creatures (cherubim) and twenty-four elders fall before the Lamb with harps and golden bowls of prayers. They sing a new song:βWorthy is the Lamb that was slainβ¦β
Then angels and all creation join in worship, praising the Lamb and the One on the throne forever.
3. The Seven Seals

- Scene: π€β‘π Heavenβs authority, Earthβs judgments.
- Time: π° Future β Beginning to Middle of the Tribulation.
The Seal Judgments
- White Horse β Antichrist conquers (false peace, peace through strength).
- Red Horse β War and bloodshed, global war and bloodshed.
- Black Horse β Famine; food shortage, results of global war.
- Pale Horse β Death; one-fourth of the earth dies (warfare, disease, starvation).
- Martyrs under the altar β Souls slain for their testimony cry for justice.
- Catastrophic Events (it gets real) β Sun darkened due to catastrophic earthquake, moon looks like blood (outcome of earthquake, dust, smoke), stars fall from heaven, every mountain & island is moved out of place; All kings, militaries, rich, powerful hid in rocks and desired rocks to fall on them, hide them from God’s wrath.
- 144,000 Jews sealed in forehead – 12000 from each of 12 tribes (Chs 7)
- Great Multitude – Appears before throne of God, innumerable (Chs 7), about mid tribulation
- Silence in Heaven β Pause before next judgments, 7th seal opened –Β marks beginning of trumpet judgments (8:1)
4. The Seven Trumpets

- Scene: π€β‘π Trumpets sounded from Heaven; massive destruction on Earth.
- Time: π° Future β Mid-Tribulation intensification.
The Trumpet Judgments – Supernatural Events
- Hail and fire mingles with blood β 1/3 of trees and grass burned.
- Mountain of fire cast into sea β 1/3 of sea becomes blood (asteroid).
- Star βWormwoodβ falls β 1/3 of rivers poisoned (massive comet).
- Heavenly bodies darkened β 1/3 of sun, moon, and stars dimmed (smoke & dust in atmosphere).
- Locusts from the abyss (1st woe) β Supernatural or Technology torment for five months (effects those God has not sealed, people will want to die, but death flees from them).
- Four angels released at Euphrates (2nd woe) β 2 Million man army, kill 1/3 of world population.
- Mighty Angel Sounds (3rd woe) β Mystery of God fulfilled, Time shall be no more (end very near), Announcement of Christβs coming kingdom.
To theΒ eft is an image of what China is presently working on in the way of insect drones – the image to the right is a rendering of what is described in Revelation 9:7-10. The locusts mentioned in those verses could be organic as well, supernatural, but organic.
5. The Measuring of the Temple

- Scene: π Earth β Jerusalem.
- Time: π° Future Mid-Tribulation.
- John measures the temple β symbolizing Godβs ownership and protection of believers.
- Outer court given to Gentiles for 42 months, trodden down by gentiles (3Β½ years).
6. The Two Witnesses

- Scene: π Jerusalem.
- Time: π° Future 3Β½ years (possibly middle years)Β during Tribulation.
- Two prophets testify, perform miracles, and call down fire.
- Killed by the beast; all world witnesses their dead bodies (evidence of inter connected world – cell phones, internet) their bodies lie in the street 3Β½ days.
- God resurrects them; they ascend to Heaven.

7. The Woman, the Child, and the Dragon

- Time: π° Past (Christβs birth) β Ongoing & Future (Israelβs timeless persecution).

- Second Beast: Type of Religious leader (False Prophet or Propaganda Expert) enforces worship of beast, works miracles, decieves world.
- Mark of the Beast: 666 β forced allegiance to Antichrist, mark required to buy or sell, without mark will be excluded from society.
- 144,000 sealed servants of God stand strong & faithful with lamb.

9. The Final Seven Bowl Judgements (Vials)

- Scene: π€β‘π Wrath poured from Heaven to Earth.
- Time: π° End of Tribulation.
The Bowl Judgments – Effect people lives on personal level
Severly painful sores on worshipers of the beast.
- Sea becomes blood; all life perishes in seas.
- Rivers and springs become blood (for killing saints , they get blood to drink).
- Scorching heat from sun burns people, blasphemy increases, will not repent.
- Darkness on the Antichristβs kingdom, people gnawed tongues, blasphemy increases.
- Euphrates dries up to prepare for Armageddon (the last earthly battle).
- Massive earthquake and hail stone (100 lbs) destroy cities; Babylon remembered for judgment.
10. The Fall of Babylon

- Scene: π Earth.
- Time: π° Future β End of Tribulation.
- Religious Babylon (17): The harlot womanβfalse religion riding the beast (false religion used by beast to deceive people and control them)
- Political Babylon (18): The great city, symbolizing corrupt world power, corrupt leaders, destroyed by fire.
11. The Second Coming of Christ

- Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
- Christ rides a white horse; eyes like fire, robe dipped in blood.

12. The Millennium
π Revelation 20:1β6
- Scene: π Earth.
- Time: π° Future Historyβ 1,000-year reign of Jesus and those who went through the great tribulaton Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24:21-35.
Events
- Strong angel imprisons Satan 1000 years in bottomless pit – Satan bound for 1,000 years during the millennial reign.
- Jesus judges those left at end of great tribulation, Matthew 25:31-46. First resurrection (the second death will not effect these)
- Christ reigns with saints who were persecuted during the great tribulation.
- The rest of the dead (who died during great tribulaton) will not live again until after the millienial reign.
- Promises made in Mathew 5:3-12 kept in millienniel reign, meek inherit earth.
- Peace, righteousness, mercy, compassion and restoration on Earth, Jesus will rule in with rod of iron (Revelation 19:15) and in righteousness.

13. The Final Judgment

- Scene: π€ Heavenly Throne (white throne judgment).
- Time: π° Future History β After Millennium (reign of Christ).
- At end of millienniel reign of Christ, Satan released to deceive God & Magog.
- Gog & Magog surround Jerusalem to defeat Christ and saints, fire falls from Heaven and destroys them.
- Devil, beast, false prophet fate sealed, tormented in hell forever.
- Great White Throne Judgment: The rest of dead from Revelation 20:5 judgedΒ by their works, the wise will do good works in this lifetime.
- Whoever was not in the book of life, and death and hell cast into the lake of fire. This is known as second death – 1st death physical, 2nd death spiritual. Our saying, born twice, die once, born once, die twice.

14. The New Heaven and New Earth

- Scene: π€ + π Heaven and Earth united.
- Time: π° Eternal future.
Events
- New Heaven, New Earth, and New Jerusalem. This present world will be burned, based on 2 Peter 3:12Β Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
- And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
- No more death, sorrow, tears or pain – all former things (associated with this world) will be no more. All things will be new, every facet of what we understand as life will become new.
- New Jerusalem: Extremely high walls, 12 gates (pearls), 12 angels stationed at gates with names 12 tribes Israel. Inner walls (shorter), names of 12 apostles. City is pure gold, translucent gold. City needs no sun/moon (never nighttime), God the Father and Son will be it’s light.
- The saved walk in light of the city, gates never closed.
- Similarities with Garden of Eden: God dwells with people, perfection & paradise, river flows through it (Genesis 2:10, Revelation 22:1); tree of life (Genesis 2:9, Revelation 22:2); bride and bridegroom (Genesis 2:22-24, Revelaton 21:2); gold, precious stones, immaculate beauty (Genesis 2:12, Revelation 21:18-21); no curse of sin (Genesis 3:17-19, Revelation 22:3).
