Sermon Outline Title: Change Isn’t Always Easy, But Sometimes Necessary
Bible Text: Acts 10:9-17
Theme: God calls His people to adjust their methods without changing His message.
Big Idea: Faithful churches must be willing to change how they minister in order to reach who God is calling.
1. God Confronts Our Comfort Zones (Acts 10:9-17)
a. Peter’s vision challenged lifelong beliefs about who was “acceptable.”
b. The sheet showed God was opening the gospel to the Gentiles.
c. Obedience required Peter to change his approach, not his faith.
2. God Commends What Is Working (John 4:24)
a. Sunday school teachers labor faithfully and need support through our attendance.
b. Main services show unity, prayer, and genuine worship in spirit and truth.
c. Fellowship and outreach reveal a giving, merciful, Christ-centered church.
3. God Calls for Careful Course Corrections (Matthew 5:7)
a. Faithfulness requires deeper commitment, not convenience-based attendance.
b. Adjusting prayer time may strengthen the spiritual start of the day.
c. Restructuring meetings may help more people participate without pressure.

Illustration / Example:
Just as Peter did not abandon the gospel but learned to carry it across new boundaries, a church does not lose its identity by making thoughtful adjustments. A compass does not change north—but it must be read correctly to stay on course.
Alliterated Main Points:
• Confronted – God challenges our assumptions
• Commended – God affirms faithful ministry
• Course-Corrected – God guides us toward growth
Conclusion / Invitation:
The question is not whether change is comfortable, but whether it is going to help. If God is opening doors, are we willing to walk through them? Let us move forward together—united, prayerful, and willing.
